University of Iowa Television (UITV) is a cable programming service available to more than 80,000 cable television viewers in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Coralville, and surrounding communities. The service is operated by students and provides programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 48 weeks a year.

Programs include telecourses offered for credit through the Division of Continuing Education, foreign language news broadcasts from some 30 countries, classic movies, and a variety of programming produced by UI faculty, staff, and students. UITV features programming from the Multimedia Department in the School of Art and Art History, Communication Studies, the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, the International Writers Program, the Athletic Department, Student Video Producers, and UI special events, such as the annual Presidential Lecture.
